Matters of the Heart

In a world of chaos, loneliness, despair, frustration and a world of opportunity, how do we choose to behave. Do we look at things as we want them to be or do you look at them for how they are now. Do we look at the past through scewed eyes, "I've lived on my own since I was 16 and nobody is going to tell me what to do." Or do we look at them with eyes wide open.

Do I dare say "son, these are the rules and conditions that you agreed to and you haven't been living up to them. And now because of your own selfish desires you are wreaking havoc with my life, your pissy attitude over your latest stupid, pathetic, needy boyfriend has put you in a place which requires a decision and it goes something like this: You can live here, be a part of this family, have a warm bed, a motorhome to retreat to, the use of a car to get you around this town, a place to do your wash, food to eat, the use of my debit card to buy the groceries you want, incentives for good behavior and goals reached, and numerous other sundries and get paid for large chores that you do around the house. You can be given time to work on overcoming your past, time to read, time to do dream boards, time to get better and be better. That was the goal."

Obviously, those things are not enough for you. You are bored and pissed off and your attitude is now beginning to piss me off and I must consider literally moving into the prayer chapel to keep my spirit caught up with my flesh.

So here is the new revised plan:

You can pay $275. a month + your phone bill, and insurance on Amy's car (if you want a car to drive around town.) For that $275. you will have the right to live as a boarder. You can do whatever it is that you think that you are missing out on, you can entertain yourself as you feel like you need to without the ball and chain of Mother Brown. You can take the bus to Sacramento and visit whomever you want, you can spend the money you have left to accumulate your desired treasures and experiences. You can actually become like Ryan; adrift on a sea of pleasure from paycheck to paycheck. You can get a job and earn money, it might not give you the option to wait to look for the job you want, but what the heck, you want your way and so you shall have it. Right now today, I give up. You win, you can go back to your old ways, they worked so well for you, you can spend all your money, lay around all day with Ryan and dream because you're dreaming right now if you think you are making the best decisions for your life. Proverbs 21:17 You're addicted to thrills? What an empty life! The pursuit of pleasure is never satisfied.

So sad, too bad. Life is hard.
